RVSS Training Academy

RV Systems Solutions is considering offering appliance training classes for RV owners in the Shreveport/Bossier City area who want a better understanding of the systems in their rig.

Each class would cover:

• Normal operation
• Preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing and repairing common problems
• Tips and tricks to get the most out of your appliances

We are planning to group the classes as follows:

• Coleman-Mach rooftop air conditioners & heat pumps
• Dometic rooftop air conditioners & heat pumps (single-unit and zoned systems)
• Tanked water heaters (Dometic/Atwood & Suburban) & furnaces (Dometic/Suburban)

During the Dometic class, we’ll also touch briefly on Furrion, GE, and Advent systems, since their wiring is similar. This won’t be in-depth training on those brands — just a short overview of the similarities and differences so you know what to expect if your rig uses one.

A working understanding of basic electrical concepts — voltage, amperage, resistance, and capacitance — is expected. We’ll cover a short refresher at the start of each class, but participants should come in already familiar with these fundamentals so they don’t fall behind.

Each class is $150 per seat. Classes will be scheduled in the evening or during the day on weekends — we’ll finalize timing based on interest. For perspective, that’s less than the cost of a typical service call — so learning to handle these repairs yourself could pay for the class the first time something goes wrong.
